Products Roadtrip Security Packing the car for a holiday road trip with the family is a special kind of game. Everything needs to go in the right place. Activities and healthy snacks within reach, everything else far out of reach. Adding cannabis to mix might seem like one stressor too many. But as more and more families recognize cannabis as a healthy alterative to alcohol and prescription drugs, the question of how to secure and transport it becomes more relevant. A Good Parent’s Problem Many people who couldn’t travel long distances are able to with the help of the right medicine, and some people would rather have a joint or a little wax than a beer after reuniting with loved ones. With children in the house or the car, this question is especially important. No parent wants their kid getting into their stuff; no one wants them to even smell it. Stashlogix, with their line of cannabis cases, has given the connoisseur and concerned parent a safe solution to keep the kids out and the good stuff in. Parents will appreciate the simple 3-digit lock system, sort of a cross between a book and bank bag. The code needs to be set from 000, and the Stashlogix page has a helpful how-to video for resetting the combination, along with a hilarious suggestion for what the user might do should they forget that combination: “If the code has been changed then you will need to try each number until the lock opens and then either retain that number or reset the code.” (Be sure to tune in next week when we change the combos on a bunch of parents’ locks, separate them into two groups, give one group alcohol and one group cannabis, and see who can open theirs first.) Different Cases For Different Needs The Stashlogix comes in two colors, black nylon or tan hemp, and both are discreet enough not to be immediately recognized as full of weed. They offer three sizes: the GoStash, which can fit a little container and a small pipe or vaporizer; the EcoStash, which can hold a few different jars and a medium size pipe or vaporizer; and the ProStash, which can house enough cannabis for either a relaxing two-week winter break or a super intense two-day vacation. Because cannabis treatments and preferences vary, it’s difficult to find an all-purpose container. By including padded walls that can be removed and reattached with Velcro, Stashlogix gives patients and connoisseurs the option to uniquely configure their cases as their needs and access change. The two larger sizes come with jars that can be labeled, though we quickly replaced the plastic with our own made of glass. Stashlogix indeed sells their own glass jar upgrade, wrapped in plastic for extra protection, which seems like a good idea. It’s no fun to open a box at the in-laws to find all the wrong things shattered. Conscientious parents won’t want their cars to reeks of cannabis, and for this the Stashlogix includes a charcoal-filled hemp packet that will need to be replaced periodically. The OdorPax do a solid job of eliminating most of the smell, but I’d still recommend packing it inside of something else for long drives. We put ours in an oversized Tupperware container. This locks in the scent and, because the Stashlogix is a soft case, makes it easier to pack away without getting crushed. Stashlogix is becoming more ubiquitous among cannabis users for its simple, secure design. It’s a great choice for parents who want to be safe, responsible, and fully prepared for whatever joys the holiday season brings.
