Relationships Your Cannabis Enhanced Valentine’s: How To Use Weed In A Sexy Way Image: Ed Schipul (https://www.flickr.com/photos/eschipul/3268246658) Whether you want to relax and lower your inhibitions a little or celebrate how much you love yourself, Splimm and weed can help this Valentine’s! Valentine’s Day is almost here! Maybe that makes you excited. Maybe it makes you a little bit nervous. There are so many expectations that come with this holiday. It can be a lot of pressure. Not the good kind. If you’re not currently in the midst of romantic swooning, it can feel lonely. If you’re with someone, there’s the expectation that you do something, and spend something, to show how much you care. But it doesn’t have to be so bad. Because cannabis can help. Whether you want to relax and lower your inhibitions a little, relax and lower your inhibitions a lot, or celebrate how much you care about yourself, the middle of February is an excellent time to reflect on the things you love, and do it with a little weed. Flower Power There are a lot of online lists about which strain of cannabis is best for sexy times. Before you leave the safety of this Splimm article, though, we have some advice: It can be hard, even today in a legal state, to track down a specific type of cannabis flower. But if you go in looking for something they don’t have, it’s not the end of the world. In our experience a good dispensary should be able to direct you toward the right strain. We suggest an “indica leaning” flower paired with something high in CBD. If this is your first time with weed and sex, a prerolled joint or a small glass pipe can be easy and phallic shaped, if that’s what you’re into. Mouth Feel Is eating food sexy? That’s your call and we’re not here to pass judgement. Many people report feeling more of a “body high” from edibles that can, in the right setting, be a subtle addition to acts of intimacy. Chocolate can also be melted down and reapplied other places, like strawberries, for an infused Valentine’s treat. Edible cannabis is not the best way to experiment though. If you don’t have any experience, we don’t suggest Valentine’s Day as your first time. It can take over an hour for the effects of an edible to kick in, and it’s not always possible to predict how your body and mind will respond. Microdosing is best in this situation. Start with 5mg (or even less if you can find it) and see where it takes you. Use Your Hands Giving someone you care about a massage can be a great low cost, high reward Valentine’s gift. For a fraction of the price of a meal, a small bottle of infused oil can augment your experience a little. And if you’re still in a state without legal cannabis for sale, there are plenty of hemp-based options that can be delivered right to your door. Yeah, You Put It There If you want to go a little bit deeper, we suggest some infused oils designed specifically for your private sexy time. Several brands now offer arousal oil in either THC (available in regulated dispensaries) or CBD varieties (available online and in some retail stores). Like edibles, there can be a little bit of a delayed reaction, so be patient. Unlike edibles you’re a lot less likely to feel overwhelmed by topically applied cannabis. So plan on some extended foreplay because in our experience these cannabis-based aphrodisiacs really do bring something to the bedroom. (Or sex room if your house has one…) Keep It Easy Want to try incorporating cannabis into your love life but feeling a little too intimidated by all the options? A single use vaporizer pen can be an easy way to see if cannabis and sex is right for you. They’re not the most environmentally friendly, but they have no moving parts, no waiting for effects, and no risk of burning your partner. Lots of times they look like a sleek French cigarette. If that’s what you’re into. Cannabis Is For Lovers Alone or with a special human, cannabis can be a great, subtle addition to your Valentine’s Day plans. There are so many options that almost anyone can find something to make the loving just a little bit better.
